Currently playing it in Desktop mode using Proton 6.3-8 seems to be the most stable there, still have the occasional crash, but nothing like as bad as it used to be. This is what I've had the most success with as well. It still has some issues, though, unfortunately. The best experience for me was GE 7-37.
