at least in my experience the models in game dont look that bad or low resolution (granted it is partly subjective), not sure if base building was ever a thing that the game was adveritsed with, kinda same for resource gathering, in essence the game is about combat, in campaign you do upgrade planets and put some defensive structures but the main gameplay loop is fighting, some people like it

Im currently on turn 130, own 4 sectors and am fighting for the control of 2 more. (yes i know im slow). Now of course the tyranids started showing up on my doorstep(s) and are beginning to become a problem. It would make sense for them to work on BFG3 at some point, however that is entirely dependent on GW and their publisher FOCUS.
